Mike’s 27-year career spans the mining, construction and transportation industries. Originally an electrical design engineer supporting the automotive industry, Mike’s experience also includes serving as Facility Test Director for an independent test and research company. This experience in the transportation industry along with designing equipment for the construction industry eventually led him to the mining industry. Mike began his career in mining as an application engineer. Over the course of his career at Komatsu, he has moved into a variety of roles, including as a Remote Health Monitoring (RHM) engineer and most currently as a Life Cycle Management (LCM) Project Manager. As a LCM Project Manager, Mike analyzes Komatsu equipment data in real time using Komatsu’s PreVail Data Monitoring system and works with regional service technicians and end users to solve and prevent issues to avoid problematic equipment stoppages for the customer. Mike likewise uses this data and other information to continuously improve Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Condition Based Maintenance (CBM). Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
